Connect your own domain

Steps to have your artist website live on your own domain.

Updated 1 day ago

You can connect your own domain (for example myartist.com) so your page lives there instead of on uxem.com.co.

Where

In the artist's Website tab, the Own domain section.

Steps

  1. Get a domain with any provider (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Hostinger, Google Domains…).
  2. In that provider's DNS settings, create a CNAME record pointing to the target shown in the instructions.
    • If your provider doesn't allow a CNAME at the domain root (myartist.com without www), create an A record to the IP shown instead.
  3. In Your domain, enter the domain without http:// or www. Save the form.
  4. Choose the page's primary language (the language your page is shown in when visited from your domain).
  5. Click Verify DNS now. Propagation can take from minutes to a few hours.
  6. Once the DNS is verified, the security certificate (SSL) is activated automatically. You don't have to do anything else.

The domain's statuses

Pending → DNS verified → Activating SSL → Active.

If the DNS isn't detected yet, check that the CNAME (or A) record is set up correctly and verify again later.
