Review times

What the review timeline depends on, how the recommended minimum date is calculated, and what happens if you pick a date too soon.

Updated 2 days ago

After you submit a release, the team takes some time to review it, and the platforms take additional time to process it. The release date has to leave room for both.

Review time + 2 to 7 days of platform processing.

At the top of the Calendar step there's a banner with the calculation made for your account: it tells you how many review days apply to you, whether they're calendar days or business days, and the earliest recommended date.

Business days are Monday to Friday.

What happens if you pick a date too soon

You can select a date earlier than the recommended one, but you'll see a persistent warning: there may not be enough time for review and processing, and the release might not go live on the planned day across every platform.

Whenever possible, keep the recommended lead time or more.

The two parts of the timeline

  • Review: the time the UXEM team takes to check your release. This is the part that depends on your account.
  • Platform processing: the 2 to 7 days each store takes to publish the release after approval. It varies by platform.

Speeding up review

If you need a release reviewed sooner, there's the Priority Review service (see the corresponding article).
