Edit or cancel a split

How to change percentages or participants, why those changes need acceptance, and how to end a split.

Updated 1 day ago

A split's form isn't edited directly after it's created. Changes are made with the split's actions and generally require acceptance from the affected participants.

Changing a percentage or adding a participant

  • Add Participant — adds a new person with their percentage.
  • Change a percentage — modifies an existing participant's.

Either of these changes creates a proposal: the split moves to Pending Mod. until the affected participants accept it. If they reject it, the previous split stays.

The total still can't exceed 100%.

A participant leaving

A participant can end their own participation. Their percentage stops applying from that moment.

Ending the split

The Terminate action closes the whole split. It asks for a termination reason and warns: "This action can't be undone." Participants are notified.

After terminating it, that release goes back to normal attribution (or you can create a new split).

Viewing the history and the agreement

  • History — shows all the split's changes.
  • Download PDF — generates the split agreement as a PDF.
