What pre-save and smartlinks are
A single URL per release that switches from a reservation page to a listening page on the release date.
A pre-save and a smartlink are the same page with two behaviors, on a single URL per release. In the panel it's called Pre-Save / Smart Link.
Before the release date
The page works as a pre-save: listeners reserve the release in advance on their platform. The buttons say "Pre-Save".
From the release moment onward
The same page works as a smartlink: the buttons say "Listen" and take you to the song on each platform.
The switch is automatic
You don't have to change the link or do anything. The switch depends on the release's date, time and timezone (see Release time and timezone and What the link does on release day).
What the page shows
- The platforms where your music will be, with their logo and a button for each.
- The background, color and message you've configured.
Clicks are counted per platform.
