Bring your catalog from another distributor
What you need to migrate your catalog to UXEM and how the process is coordinated.
Migrating your catalog to UXEM means re-registering each release here, keeping its identifiers and its original date, and coordinating the takedown at your previous distributor.
There's no automated importer: the process is coordinated with the UXEM team.
What you need for each release
- The master audio for each track.
- The cover art, meeting the image requirements.
- The full metadata: title, artists and roles, genre, language, explicit content, etc.
- The existing codes: the release's UPC and each recording's ISRC.
- The original release date (the first time it was published).
Steps
- Create the release in UXEM with all of that data.
- On each track, enter the existing ISRC; in the Codes & Legal step, the existing UPC. Do this while the release is in Draft.
- Set the Original Release Date.
- Coordinate with support the takedown at your previous distributor and the delivery from UXEM, so they don't overlap.
