Change the release date
When the date can be changed, which other dates are affected, and what happens once the release is submitted.
The release date can be changed while the release is in Draft or Requires changes.
When you change it
- The earliest date you can pick is tomorrow.
- If you pick a date earlier than the one recommended for your account, you'll see a warning (see How to set a release date and Review times).
- Moving the date can automatically clear dependent dates: the pre-order date, the original release date (if it ends up after the new date) and the early release dates. The system notifies you when it does.
After submitting the release
Once you submit it for review, the date — along with the time and timezone — is locked.
To change it after that, including on an already-distributed release, contact support: the stores have already scheduled the publication.
