How a release's platforms are selected
Who chooses a release's platforms, how genre affects the list, and why some appear disabled.
A release's platforms are chosen by you in the wizard's platform step. See the detail in Select platforms.
How genre affects it
When you choose the genre in the first step, the wizard adjusts the platform selection and keeps only the ones that support that genre. If you add a secondary genre, the platform must support both.
Quick actions
- Select All Compatible — turns on every available platform that supports your genre.
- Clear All — turns them all off.
Why some appear disabled
A platform can show as disabled because of genre incompatibility or because it's not available to select at that moment. If you need one you can't turn on, contact us.
After saving
The release page shows the selected platforms. They're activated once the release is approved and distributed, and from then on you can see each one's status.
You need at least one platform to submit the release for review.
