What publishing administration is

Collecting the author royalties generated by your works.

Updated 1 day ago

Every time your song is streamed, broadcast or performed, on top of the recording royalties it also generates author (publishing) royalties for the composition.

The problem it solves

Those royalties are collected by each country's collection societies and other bodies. If you're not registered with them, that money doesn't reach you.

What UXEM's publishing administration does

It registers your works and your songwriter details in the global collection network and gets those royalties to you.

What you need

  • To be affiliated with a collection society (PRO).
  • To have an IPI number.
  • To declare each work's splits (they must add up to 100%).

If you don't have a PRO or IPI, the process guides you through registering them.

It's not the same as distribution

Distribution moves the recording. Publishing administration handles the composition. See Master vs. composition.
